The first Monday of every month, I treat myself to a scrumptious dinner prepared by someone other than me (who can actually cook well) and conversation with real human beings that isn’t interrupted by questions from the three-year old daughter like, “Mommy, why can boys not wear shirts but I have to wear a shirt?  I don’t want to wear a shirt.  I’m not going to wear a shirt today.” 

I belong to a book club which started over three years ago by a very dear friend who realized we Moms needed stimulation other than breast feeding and talking about our kids all the time.  

Check out the postings and see what book we are reading.  I give a quick review and rate the book, as well.  Pick up a book.  Take time for yourself and retrain that brain.
